The lights in the workshops for subway tunnel segment in the factory of Anhui Sanjian Construction Co., Ltd. were brightly lit on September 13, as the last sealing piece coded K on the third ring was successfully assembled and put in place; it marked the success of trial production of prefabricated subway tunnel segment after months of hard works.

The independent production of subway tunnel segment is a strategic decision of Anhui Sanjian Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. – one of the subsidiaries of ACEG, to create new advantages in its industrial chain.
In June last year, Anhui sanjian won the bid for the 4th section of Hefei subway line 4, and the total demand for the prefabricated segments reached 25,000 square meters.

At present, the rapid development of subway construction contains market opportunities.
In early April, Anhui Sanjian set up a leading group of subway tunnel segment production to coordinate the work.
After months of hard work, the first casing mould was successfully installed in the factory in mid July.
In order to implement the pilot production as soon as possible, Anhui Sanjian has organized production preparation meetings and the technical staff have spared no efforts on the determination of cement varieties, the selection of concrete additives, the electrical installation and debugging of production equipment, the layout of production line and the process method and all these have created conditions for the pilot production of the segments.
On August 20, the trial production of subway tunnel segment began. On the afternoon of August 21, the first subway tunnel segment was removed out of the mould and put into water for curing.
At present, the pilot subway tunnel segments have been sent to the authority for further inspection and certification. After passing the test, quantity production shall start which not only ensure the demand of Anhui Sanjian’s ongoing subway project, but also supply the subway tunnel segment market so as to open up new areas for the development of ACEG.
